Carolyn Anne Crocker

Lives in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina
Her first teacher was her mother, California Impressionist, Marilyn E. Crocker (a California Impressionist), who introduced her daughter to oils and pastels. Her next teacher artist/author, Hal Reed, taught her composition, perspective, color theory and anatomy.

Carolyn grew up in a thriving and vibrant Southern California art scene. After seeing an Impressionist exhibit at the Laguna Museum of Art, she knew she wanted to learn how to create light-filled atmospheric paintings of her own.

Her classes at the Scottsdale Artists’ School and several years spent painting in the field - including stints in Europe and South America - provided her with invaluable knowledge and exposure through solo shows and galleries.

Carolyn’s paintings have been included in juried exhibitions and featured in one-woman shows. Her work can be found in private collections around the world.
